After his Hawaaizaada not as successful, Ayushmann Khurrana is back with his next 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha. "The film stars newcomer Bhumi Pednekar is directed by Sharat Katariya and reached theaters today. Let's see how it is.

Story:

Dum Laga Ke Haisha revolves around the life of Prem (Ayushmann Khurrana), who is forced to marry a cute Sandhya but overweight (Bhumi Pednekar). However, Prem who is tenth fails, it is difficult to take the life your way with qualified Sandhya and B. Ed.

Reluctantly, Prem continues its unique insult his wife to society. Being an educated girl, let Prem Bhumi. However, her parents decide to take the couple through competition 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha'. Will Prem and Bhumi collect? Will you enter the contest? and Will Prem Bhumi finally accept her as his wife? forms the rest of the story.

Plus points:

Speaking of performances, Ayushmann Khurrana as always has shed some unusual performance of his side. He looks innocent and suits the nature of Prem well. YRF has so far proven to be a launching pad for a series of new talent in the industry and this film too has kick-started the race in the performance of the not so glamorous Bhumi Pednekar. And I must say that the actress is here to change the stereotype of what Bollywood actresses are defined as. His innocence, charm and acting skills are sure something positive for the film.

Each of the characters play their parts and especially Sanjay Mishra and Seema Pahwa. There are some very wonderful and sweet scenes between Ayushmann and Bhumi especially the parts where the two are traveling through a scooter and his sandal, the old stage style wedding and night scenes of the couple falls.

The first half of the film is the relationship of the couple and the ups and downs they face in marriage involves their families. The tenderness in her marriage and clever elements makes the first half pretty interesting.

Negatives:

However second half of the film is rather slow and boring. It is the emotional struggles of the protagonists, but not emotionally connect with the public. The director could have easily added the required mood in the second half to make it more interesting, but he does not.

Some parts in the second half no sense, especially the part involving the ex-husband's aunt and competition Prem Ke Dum Laga Haisha. The competition, which bears the name of the whole movie, does not appear until the end and it is absurd evident and did not need at all.

Technical aspects:

Sharat Katariya address is decent; while maintaining simple and entertaining. However, he loses touch in the second half. The songs are amazing, however, have not been added completely in the film turns out to be a disappointment. Also the best job Sonu Kumar, Sadhna Sargama and Anu Malik in Dard Karaara comes last.

Believe it or not, but everyone from the 90s loved the time and their films. Whether it's songs, music or innocence in his characters. And the element of 90s shown in this film is too cute. Kumar Sanu and Sadhna Sargam's voice and composition reminiscent Anu Malik surely make the viewer. Other than that, the village environment of the film, costumes and old world charm add to the film.

A special mention goes to production designer Meenal Agarwal, adding details 90s. The film is beautifully shot by Manu Anand. The dialogues also remind us of the age of 90 and his films.

Verdict:

In general, Dum Laga Ke Haisha is redefined tenderness involving music nostalgic 90, the scenario and dialogue. Despite that history leaves no impact, certainly worth seeing.
